DARJIT was developed by Alchymia ltd, a New Zealand based company, family owned, and run from the Far North district of the North Island.

Brent Sumner has been designing and creating sculptured artworks for over 20 years and turned his hand to developing a recycled architectural sculpting compound 12 years ago.
Since first working with a clay mine in the Far North of New Zealand in 1998, Brent found a way to use the mines by-product. Brent has worked to refine Darjit into an art work medium and a very versatile building material.

DARJIT is an architectural sculpting compound that was created by Brent Sumner. Darjit can be used as a finish plaster, good for both interior and exterior uses. It can be applied as a finish plaster in a variety of thicknesses to achieve a Mediterranean adobe style soft organic look, rounding out corners, creating niches, arches, pillars, or whatever you can imagination.

DARJIT! is so easy and pleasant to use, it is easy for anyone to add a personal touch to their home or garden.

One way to add a little drama to area is by simply wrap tar paper and metal lath around 4x4 post, then plaster the mesh with DARJIT mixture creating grand looking pillar/s. Darjit can be used with gate-ways into gardens creating the same look with arched gateways over rebar frames.

Landscaping possibilities are endless.

The possibilities when using Darjit range from, architectural sculptures, fountains, privacy walls, fire places, large planters, built in lighting, flooring and columns just to name a few.
